Impregnates, maintains stiffness, structure, and breathable properties of all types of fabric and leather footwear.

Footwear can absorb water simply because it is dirty. First, try cleaning the shoes with Nikwax Footwear Cleaning Gel™, and if they are fairly new or have recently been re-impregnated, cleaning alone will be enough to renew the durable water repellent (DWR) layer. But if the footwear is already worn, the DWR needs to be renewed by using Nikwax Fabric and Leather Proof™ after cleaning the shoes with Nikwax Footwear Cleaning Gel™.

Nikwax Fabric and Leather Proof™ is easy and quick to use - apply it to wet shoes with a spray or sponge. Nikwax Fabric and Leather Proof™ renews a durable water repellent (DWR) layer that forms during air drying. It leaves a flexible water repellent layer on individual fabric and leather fibers of the footwear. This allows moisture vapors to escape, maintaining breathable properties and ensuring dryness for the feet. Nikwax Fabric and Leather Proof™ has been specially designed and optimized for fabric and leather footwear.
