Waterproof breathable clothing is likely to get sweaty and damp inside when used in humid conditions. If the outer layer absorbs water, the clothing can lose up to 70% of its breathable properties. Therefore, to ensure comfort, maintaining durable hydrophobicity (DWR) of the jacket is essential. Nikwax Tech Wash® will revive the DWR, thus enhancing the breathability of your clothing.

When we work hard, we sweat. The evaporating sweat cools us down, making us feel good. But when it rains, we want to avoid getting wet, so we put on waterproof clothing to protect us.

Waterproof fabric must allow moisture to pass through, allowing it to "breathe," as otherwise, our sweat will not be able to evaporate. As a result, we will overheat and become wet from condensation. Additionally, if the outer fabric of our clothing absorbs water and gets wet, its breathability will be reduced, making you feel sticky and wet.

Nikwax Tech Wash® will revive the durable hydrophobicity (DWR), preventing water absorption, maintaining breathability, and ensuring dryness and comfort.

Dirt attracts water, and household detergents leave a water-attracting residue (hydrophilic), causing the fabric to soak when used in humid conditions.
