Provides lasting hydrophobicity, refreshes breathable properties - in the washing machine.

Rainwear made of breathable waterproof fabric is likely to sweat and become damp inside when used in humid conditions. If the outer layer absorbs water, the garment may lose up to 70% of its breathable properties. Therefore, to ensure comfort, it is necessary to maintain lasting hydrophobicity (DWR) of the jacket. Eventually, it will wear off and will need to be renewed with Nikwax TX.Direct®.

When we work hard, we sweat. The evaporating sweat cools us down, making us feel good. But when it rains, we want to avoid getting wet, so we put on waterproof clothing to protect us.

Waterproof fabric must allow moisture to pass through, allowing it to "breathe," otherwise our sweat will not be able to evaporate. As a result, we will overheat and become wet from condensation. Additionally, if the outer fabric of our clothing absorbs water and becomes wet, its breathability will be reduced, making you feel sticky and wet.

Nikwax TX.Direct® enhances lasting hydrophobicity (DWR), preventing water absorption while maintaining breathability, ensuring dryness and comfort.

Anyone active outdoors in humid conditions will benefit from wearing breathable, waterproof clothing. Whether you are a mountaineer, dog walker, farmer, or outdoor surveyor - you will need good rainwear.

Rainwear can only absorb water because it is dirty. First and foremost, try cleaning the garment with Nikwax Tech Wash®, and if it is fairly new or has recently been waterproofed, cleaning alone will be enough to renew the hydrophobic layer (DWR). But if the garment is already worn, you should renew its DWR layer by using Nikwax TX
