Extremely lightweight and durable ARB synthetic rope shackle with a breaking strength of 14.5 tons - perfect for vehicles up to 3.5 tons. The main advantage of synthetic rope shackles over steel shackles is their weight and flexibility. Successfully used in sailing for years - today they find their application in off-roading.
Contrary to appearances, synthetic rope shackles are safer than steel shackles because wear and tear are visible, allowing us to monitor any abrasions in real-time and replace a "fatigued" unit when needed. Even the most severe fatigue in a steel shackle may not be visible to the naked eye unless it changes its shape during use - making the steel variant much less predictable than the synthetic one.
