The new Spektrum Smart S150 1x50W AC/DC charger offers very simple and safe charging of Smart batteries. The charger comes with a 20V 3A power supply, and once the battery is connected, the charger will automatically set to optimal parameters and start charging the battery. Charging power up to 50W.
Spektrum Smart intelligent chargers practically eliminate issues with charging LiPo batteries. This is possible thanks to the microchip integrated in each battery, which communicates with the Smart charger and automatically determines the best charging parameter settings. Simply connect the battery to the charger and press the Start button. The charger will indicate the battery type, charge status, and current using LED lights.
When used with Spektrum Smart batteries with IC3™ or IC5™ connectors, the S150 charger will read the charging data from the integrated memory of each battery. These data regarding individual packs will help assess the battery status and speed up charging, as the S150 can automatically read this data and immediately adjust the charging parameters accordingly.
The charger is powered by the included power supply. The power supply outputs 20V voltage and delivers a maximum current of 3A. This should be taken into consideration when charging larger batteries. The charger can charge up to 4S LiPo, LiHV, or LiFe batteries as well as NiMH batteries. It is designed for Smart batteries with an IC3 connector, but it can also be used with standard batteries that have an EC3 connector.
The charger displays 3 values - battery type, charge status, and current, using LED lights. On the left side, there is an indicator for LiHV, LiPo, LiFe, or NiMH battery type. The middle part, shaped like a battery cell, has 4 charge status values. The right side indicates the flowing current: 0.5A, 1A, 3A, and 5A.
On the back of the charger, there is a 5.5mm DC power supply connector, a data connector, and a very efficient radiator fan.
On the front of the charger, there is an IC
