Before increasing the power of a 4-cylinder or V6 engine, it is worth ensuring that all maintenance activities are up to date and that these processes are carried out as intended. Weak spark from the ignition system can result in improper ignition under heavy load driving conditions and spark blowout, which worsens performance.
Mishimoto proudly introduces our new line of ignition coils, designed to provide high-quality replacements that can bring the vehicle to Stage 0 level before moving on to power-increasing modifications. Our ignition coils have been designed and tested to meet or exceed OEM Jeep performance standards and are available as individual coils or in a set of six. When installed with a set of new spark plugs, you can expect a refreshed ignition system with improved engine start-up, smoother idling, and restored Wrangler performance. The main frame of our coils is made of highly durable phenolic resin, ensuring optimal durability in high-temperature environments. The precise lower cover acts as a barrier to prevent moisture from entering the spark plug chamber, eliminating the risk of spark plug contamination. Additionally, our coils are pre-lubricated with dielectric grease to prevent corrosion and ensure optimal connection between the spark plug and the coil.
