We offer a device essential for a large suspension lift (above 2") in Nissan Patrol GR Y60 and Y61 vehicles.
Dropbox, as this device is called, lowers the front control arm mounts to the frame by 4" and shifts the axle forward by 0.5", restoring the factory steering knuckle angles in the front axle and eliminating the risk of wheel collision with the fender.
By using our product, with an additional 12mm lowering of the gearbox-reducer assembly mounting, all undesirable and dangerous phenomena associated with incorrect values of the above-mentioned angles are eliminated, such as:
- vibrations
- rapid wear of universal joints, shafts, bushings, and bearings
- risk of vehicle rollover during sharp turns
- improper handling during straight-line and cornering driving ("mouse steering," etc.)
The set consists of two dropboxes with a mounting kit. Installation does not require welding - original mounting holes in the frame are used.
Individual elements are laser-cut, properly chamfered and welded, then sandblasted and corrosion-protected in one of two methods:
- acid etching and powder coating
- passive zinc plating
All fastening elements are made of stainless steel.
Instructions for proper installation are available here.
The price given is for a set of two dropboxes. Ready-to-install set.
