Sand tent A top quality roof tent made to order for Escape. The experience gained from the expeditions has allowed us to make small improvements that are not found in the factory serial productions. The ‘short’ version - The entrance to the tent is slightly less roofed than in the long version, in the case of the vestibule the entrance ladder is outside it. The floor is made of aluminium filled with insulating foam, with an aluminium ‘honeycomb’ structure painted white inside. The floor of the tent provides excellent insulation, even at low temperatures. On the floor is a comfortable 6 cm thick mattress with a removable cover. The windows have an opening mosquito net, external pin-operated shutters and an airtight seal on the inside. Entrance openings with mosquito nets and airtight seal. Adjustable ventilation at the top of the tent (with mosquito net) and roof window with mosquito net. Above the window the flysheet has a professional film sewn in. The tent is completely protected against unwanted visitors (mosquitoes, insects). There is, of course, a waterproof cover for the roof tent, unfolding is very easy - full unfolding with windows under two minutes, without fitting pegs in the shutters - several seconds (tested in the rain). A shoe bag is included, the lower part in the form of a mesh allows wet shoes to dry. Material: - walls made of the highest quality impregnated cotton (canvas) with a weight of 280g/metre (at most retailers the material is thinner 260g) reinforced with mesh (ripstop) combined with polyester. This ensures waterproofing and excellent breathability. The wall seams are taped to prevent the fabric from stretching and leaking when it rains. The 4 main openings (2 entrances and 2 windows) and the 2 roof windows, protected by mosquito nets and shutters from the inside and outside, allow you to regulate the temperature inside perfectly. On colder nights we close the openings on both sides, on warmer nights we open them leaving only the mosquito nets. This gives a feeling of coolness even in very hot weather. - Tropics - waterproof 420D Oxford polyester. An additional frame guarantees air flow between the flysheet and the tent roof. The flysheet has two professional films over the roof windows. - Black outer cover - 100% waterproof, made of very thick and strong PVC 580g, with fine zipper for easy opening and closing. Includes a 2.3m telescopic ladder and USB powered LED lighting. The tent has aluminium mounting rails and a set of brackets for roof rack or rails and ground-mounted tensioners. The tent rails can be mounted lengthways or across the tent depending on the type of roof rack you have. The tent can be rotated for mounting so that it opens up to the driver's or passenger's side, or to the rear of the vehicle.
