The OFFLANDER FOLD 2 WOLF roof top tent is a model highly appreciated by those who value a compact footprint on the car roof while still offering plenty of space when unfolded. The FOLD 2 WOLF stands for durability, quick setup, and comfortable rest for two people.
Find a spot with a stunning view and enjoy it in the morning from the window of your rooftop tent, holding a cup of hot coffee in your hand. Sounds tempting? We’re sure it does! Feel like taking a solo trip out of town? Nothing easier. Grab the essentials and head out to explore the wilderness. The only limit is your imagination.
COMFORT FOR 2 PEOPLE
Inside, you'll find a Memory Foam mattress measuring 200 × 145 cm and 5.5 cm thick. This provides enough surface and thickness to ensure a comfortable night’s sleep and rest—even for up to four people. While lying down, you can gaze at the starry night sky through the roof window. Depending on the outside temperature and your preference, the skylight can be fully closed, opened, or covered only with a mesh screen to protect you from unwanted insects on warm summer evenings. On hot days, you can also completely remove the upper rainfly.
Beneath the mattress is an anti-condensation mat— a special layer designed to reduce moisture buildup. When using the tent, especially when it's warmer inside than outside, water vapor can start to condense on cold surfaces, including the tent fabric. This may lead to dampness, mold, and mildew, which can negatively affect both the tent’s condition and your comfort. The anti-condensation mat acts as a breathable membrane. It features tiny porous holes that allow water vapor to pass through while preventing water droplets from forming.
TIP: In case condensation occurs, it’s recommended to wipe off any accumulated moisture with a dry cloth. The mattress thickness is limited by the tent’s structure—if you find it too thin, we suggest using additional inflatable mats or mattress toppers. However, keep in mind that you’ll need to remove them each time you want to fold the tent.
If you need a larger tent but like this model, check out the FOLD 4 GRIZZLY. It only differs in size and weight.
INSIDE THE TENT
The shell of the FOLD 2 WOLF features a mountain-themed graphic on the inner lining. It might seem like a small detail, but we’re sure this picturesque landscape will make your time inside the tent more enjoyable. The memory foam mattress comes in a soft-touch cover, adding extra comfort to your rest.
Tents from the FOLD series feel more spacious than they actually are, thanks to the unique fold-out floor design, covered entrance, and four large window openings that provide extra room and light.
There’s enough space inside the tent to comfortably change clothes before going to sleep. On cold days, it’s also a good idea to store your shoes inside. A specially designed shoe bag, which seals tightly with Velcro, allows you to store wet footwear without worry.
QUICK SETUP
Most travelers using rooftop tents start setting up immediately upon arriving at the campsite. They’re tired from the road, it takes time, requires energy, and sometimes it’s already dark or other tasks need their attention.
Setting up this rooftop tent takes just 1 minute. Step out of your vehicle and start camping in 60 seconds. The shell of the FOLD 2 WOLF opens automatically with the help of a hydraulic lever. No more struggling with a complicated setup after a long drive. Forget the stress of missing a hammer or having pegs that are too short—none of that matters anymore. With the FOLD 2 WOLF, you’ll be ready to camp in a scenic spot in no time.
TIP: Always secure the ladder properly before use. It also acts as support for the fold-out floor, which in turn tensions the tent fabric and rainfly. A ladder positioned on uneven terrain may become damaged. Make sure it’s stable—if it slips, brace it with a rock or drive in a peg to hold it in place. As a last resort, you can move the vehicle to a more level spot.
LIGHTWEIGHT AND AERODYNAMIC DESIGN
The FOLD 2 WOLF looks great on any vehicle. It’s probably the only tent on the market that measures just 120 cm in width when closed, meaning that on 99% of vehicles it won’t extend beyond the edges of the car. That’s not just about looks—it also improves aerodynamics. When folded, the tent is only 25 cm high, so whether you plan to mount it on a pickup, SUV, van, or passenger car, its shape won’t interfere with your driving.
The tent cover is made of flexible and durable ABS material, which is resistant to mechanical damage. Impacts from branches or scraping against trees off-road won’t be a problem. The cover flexes slightly to absorb the impact without cracking.
The tent is designed to be mounted on two roof crossbars. Simply attach it using the included mounting brackets. Before installation, make sure that your vehicle’s roof and the crossbars have a dynamic load capacity of at least 75 kg. The tent shell may deform slightly under temperature changes, which is completely normal.
TIP: Folding the tent on taller vehicles may require some practice, and roof racks can make the process a bit more challenging. But don’t worry—with time, you’ll get the hang of it and be able to close your tent in the blink of an eye.
We recommend folding the mattress in half along its crease as the first step. This will help indicate where the tent will fold and show how much room you have left for additional items inside. Place everything flat up to the height of the mattress, in the free space along the wall. Release the roof latches, gas struts, and awning support rods. Leave the windows open—this allows air to escape more easily during folding. Fold down the floor with the ladder. Make sure the fabric in the corners isn’t preventing the tent from fully closing. If it is, gently lift the floor and pull the fabric out slightly. Fasten the helper strap, which helps pull in the side fabric as the shell is closed. Close the shell using the center latch. Tuck in the rainfly fabric on both the left and right sides of the tent. Finish by closing the remaining latches alternately until the tent is fully secured.
VENTILATION & WATER RESISTANCE
The tent is made of durable 280G RIP-STOP fabric with a waterproof rating of 2000 mm. This material easily withstands several hours of heavy rain. These fabric parameters ensure that it is waterproof, resistant to mold and mechanical damage, and that it provides proper ventilation and a supply of fresh air inside.
The RIP-STOP technique means that a stronger fiber thread is woven into the fabric at regular intervals. This reinforcement helps prevent the material from tearing. The zippers on the window openings are also specially protected to stop water from getting inside.
You can convert the window coverings into awnings, which provide protection from rain and excessive sunlight. That means you no longer have to close the windows during bad weather. Open windows ensure continuous airflow and access to fresh air, while built-in mosquito nets protect you from insects. The tent also includes transparent window covers, which can be attached with Velcro. These let natural light in even on rainy days while keeping water out.
TIP: To avoid excessive condensation inside the tent, always leave at least small openings in the windows to allow moisture to escape. Even a small amount of trapped water can lead to mold. Sealing the tent completely in lower temperatures does little to improve warmth inside. Instead, we recommend using warm sleeping bags, thermal underwear, or auxiliary heating systems.
RAINFLY
The rainfly is made from Oxford 420D fabric with a PU waterproof rating of 2000–3000 mm. This material is known for its high durability and resistance to mechanical damage. Oxford 420D is made of nylon or polyester coated with a PU (polyurethane) layer, making it fully waterproof. The fabric also has a sleek appearance, and its light color reflects sunlight effectively. It’s easy to clean and maintain, so keeping it in good condition won’t be a problem.
TIP: We recommend waterproofing the rainfly before each camping season. A standard waterproofing spray—readily available at most camping stores—will suffice.
On warm days, you can roll the rainfly back toward the tent shell. This allows you to fully open the roof window and ensures better airflow inside the tent.
ACCESSORIES
For your convenience and extra storage, the tent comes with a large gear bag where you can keep shoes or other essential items. Inside the tent, at the top, you’ll find an LED strip with three brightness levels, which you can power by connecting a USB-compatible power bank. It provides interior lighting and makes it easier to move around after sunset. The LED strip consumes very little energy, so you won’t have to worry about it suddenly turning off at the worst moment.
The tent also includes a foldable aluminum ladder. It’s permanently integrated into the tent’s floor and tucks away inside the shell when closed. The ladder features two lockable steps to help level the tent floor on uneven ground.
You can also purchase an annex or awning for the tent. The annex not only gives you extra space to store your camping gear but also provides added privacy. The awning, on the other hand, offers a shaded relaxation area or protection from rain.
